About Maison Theo
Hi, I’m Cécilia, the founder and creative mind behind Maison Theo.
Born and raised in Paris, I fell in love with Berlin in 2013 and decided to make it my home. Today, I share my life here with my wife and our child, whose nickname inspired the name Maison Theo.
The Maison Theo adventure grew from my deep love of crochet, colour, and pattern. I first picked up a crochet hook during lockdown in 2020—and it completely changed my life. Creating a garment from scratch, from choosing the yarn and colour combinations to imagining each pattern, brought me so much joy that I simply couldn’t stop. Before long, friends and family began asking me to make custom vests and scarves for them, encouraging me to turn my passion into something more.
In 2024, after completing my maternity leave, I decided not to return to my career in real estate. Instead, I took a leap of faith and founded Maison Theo.
I designed the collection around everything that matters to me as a person and as a mother: comfort, joyful colours, expressive patterns, and natural fibers. Each piece is made from 100% merino wool and produced in Poland. Maison Theo is an invitation to embrace individuality, wear colour boldly, and choose clothing that feels as good as it looks.
Challenging traditional gender norms is also at the heart of the brand. Clothes should never define or limit us—which is why Maison Theo’s designs are made for all humans, regardless of gender or identity.
Every time you choose Maison Theo, you support an independent, small business built with love, and a genuine passion for making something special.
